Job summary

Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) is seeking an experienced Ambulatory Float Registered Nurse to provide flexible nursing coverage across the organization. The Float RN will rotate through telephone triage, ambulatory floor nursing, case management, infection control and employee health, immunizations, specialty clinics, and other nursing functions.

This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys learning, problem-solving, and supporting patients and coworkers wherever their skills are needed

Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved 2- to 4-year nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS and CPR certification.
  • Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based care environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and move between different nursing responsibilities based on organizational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing coverage throughout the organization based on patient and staffing needs.
  • Rotate between telephone triage, ambulatory floor nursing, case management, infection control and employee health, immunizations, specialty clinics, and other nursing functions.
  • Support patients and coworkers by applying flexible, problem-solving nursing care across multiple ambulatory settings.

Position Overview

KANA is looking for a flexible, experienced Ambulatory Float Registered Nurse who thrives in a team environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day work.

This position provides nursing coverage throughout the organization based on patient and staffing needs. The Float RN may rotate between telephone triage, ambulatory floor nursing, case management, infection control and employee health, immunizations, specialty clinics, and other nursing functions.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of an approved 2- to 4-year nursing program
  • Current Registered Nurse license

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of nursing experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience in ambulatory, primary care, case management, triage, employee health, or public health nursing
  • Experience working with electronic health records
  • Experience working in a Tribal, rural, or community healthcare environment
