Job summary

Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) is seeking an Ambulatory Float Registered Nurse to provide flexible coverage across ambulatory care settings in Kodiak, Alaska. You will rotate through triage, clinic floors, case management, infection control, and employee health to support patients and colleagues.

The ideal candidate enjoys learning, problem-solving, and working collaboratively in a rural tribal healthcare environment, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved 2- to 4-year nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS and CPR certification.
  • Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based care environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and move between different nursing responsibilities based on organizational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing coverage across ambulatory and related clinics based on patient and staffing needs.
  • Rotate between telephone triage, ambulatory floor nursing, case management, infection control and employee health.
  • Support patients and coworkers through varied nursing roles with flexibility and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely follow-up across departments.
