Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Medical Assistant to room patients, collect assessment data, and prepare patients for examinations. You will assist with procedures, lab work, screenings, and quality improvement projects, while coordinating referrals and ensuring accurate charting.

You will schedule appointments, conduct reminder calls, register patients, and maintain up-to-date records. The role includes handling payments, maintaining supplies, and contributing to a team delivering high-quality patient

Qualifications

• ABHES/CAAHEP or regionally/nationally accredited medical assisting program.
• Experience in a clinical setting with rotation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, collects assessment data, and prepares patients for examinations.
• Assists with examinations, treatments, lab procedures, screenings, and quality improvement projects.
• Schedules appointments and enters them into the scheduler; conducts reminder calls.
• Registers patients and maintains accurate patient records in the system.
• Coordinates referrals and processes payments/receipts.
