Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Park West Ambulatory Surgery Center in Akron. You will join a small, dedicated team providing ophthalmic surgical care with a focus on patient-first service.

Work hours are days (6:30am-3:00pm or 7:00am-3:30pm) with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. Responsibilities include assisting in the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting perioperative workflows in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• Or completion of military surgical technology program.
• Certification CST or TS-C required if not from an accredited program.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Set up sterile table and ensure supplies, drugs and equipment are available.
• Assist RN in counting sponges and instruments during surgery.
• Assist in gowning/gloving and draping patients.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout the procedure.
• Participate in intraoperative timeout and specimen handling.
