Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS seeks an Epic Applications Analyst - Ambulatory to support Epic software in ambulatory settings. You will collaborate with the Division of Information Systems to research, test, troubleshoot, document, release, and provide end-user support for Epic applications.

You’ll lead training efforts, create materials, and work with IS staff, Epic personnel, and users to advance electronic health record initiatives and ensure reliable system

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Epic certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience or familiarity with healthcare information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Researches, tests, troubleshoots, documents, releases, implements, and supports department-supported applications.
• Provides leadership, guidance, and training to staff; assists in developing training materials and training users.
• Works with IS staff, vendors, users, and operational owners to design and enhance applications and business processes.
• Develops test plans, conducts testing/debugging, and ensures smooth implementation and integration of systems at project/ticket level.
