Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit/Dearborn Hybrid is seeking an experienced manager to oversee Ambulatory Business Operations across multiple locations, ensuring service excellence and efficient operations during daytime full-time hours.

You will supervise reception, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and payment processes; coach supervisors; and partner with the Director on initiatives. Epic EHR proficiency required and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field, OR Eight (8) years of front desk registration leadership experience.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience or coordinating the work of others.
• Proficient in World Class Service Excellence: Chief First Impression Officer, AIDET, Service Recovery (HEART).
• Proficient in Epic EHR or equivalent electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work with detailed information.
• Ability to work effectively with populations of diverse backgrounds and ages.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple Ambulatory Business Operations offices across a geographic region.
• Ensure service excellence and operational quality and efficiency across locations.
• Manage reception, registration, scheduling, insurance verification and referral authorization, payment collection, daily cash management, and data-driven management.
• Coach supervisors and develop staff; ensure appropriate supervisory coverage for patient volume at clinics.
• Assist Director with organizational initiatives; serve as SME for Business Office in service excellence, training, or data analysis.
