Job summary

Huron is seeking a Coding Auditor to audit ambulatory/professional coding activities and ensure accuracy. You will work with client teams and the Huron Managed Services Domestic Coding group to uphold coding standards and improve processes.

The role requires CPC certification or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, with strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Applicants should be authorized to work in the United States and be prepared for a day shift.

Qualifications

• 2+ years previous experience as a professional/profee/ambulatory coding auditor
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through AAPC
• Familiarity with E/M, Oncology, Ambulatory, etc.

Responsibilities

• Audit coders and/or audit the auditors to ensure coding accuracy (≥95%).
• Perform quality checks/audits on visits coded per client SOPs.
• Conduct calibration audits and share feedback to coders and auditors.
• Prepare audit reports and participate in client interactions and internal meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement regulations.
• Utilize encoder software and EMR tools to support coding activities.
