Job summary

Geisinger seeks an outpatient Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians and providers in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The role requires CMA or RMA certification, graduation from an accredited MA program, and EMR proficiency.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates, with two-year payout terms. Responsibilities include direct patient care, rooming, vitals collection, specimen handling, and coordination of scheduling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (1-year certificate or 2-year diploma)
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
• Certification by governing associations (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA) required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and clinical support under provider supervision
• Prepare patients, collect vitals, and document in EMR
• Set up examination and treatment rooms and maintain safety
• Perform phlebotomy, administer medications as allowed, and assist with minor procedures
