Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for outpatient care across our clinics. The role involves direct patient care, clinical support to physicians, and strong EMR documentation to support safe, efficient visits.

Candidates must graduate from a 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program, be CMA or RMA certified, and maintain certification with a recognized body. A sign-on bonus of $3,000 is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
• Certification by one of the listed governing associations: NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and clinical support in outpatient settings.
• Prepare patients, collect vitals, review information, and document in EMR.
• Perform EKGs, wound care, and assist with minor procedures.
• Handle patient scheduling, filing, and billing inquiries.
• Maintain room readiness and infection control.
