Job summary

Geisinger Primary Care Pittston is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to support physicians in the outpatient setting. The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, and preparing for visits in a fast-paced clinic.

Candidates should have CMA/RMA certification and complete a 1-2 year training; attention to accuracy, patient safety, and teamwork are essential. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMA or RMA certification required.
• Certified by one of the listed governing associations: NHA, AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, AAH, or AMCA.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient data using the EMR rooming tool.
• Perform clinical duties such as EKGs, wound care, and specimen collection.
• Provide clerical support including scheduling, referrals, and billing inquiries.
