Corewell Health is seeking an Ambulatory Care Technician to join the Surgery Residency Clinic in Grand Rapids. You will work closely with supervising physicians and residents to deliver timely patient care while handling clerical duties in a fast-paced environment.
The role emphasizes coordination of care, documentation, and insurance-related tasks to support a value-driven health system. Part-time schedule with day shifts and a commitment to patient service is required.
We are a teaching clinic with resident physicians who practice alongside supervising physicians to improve healthcare through education and research. This partnership allows our physicians to provide quality care to all our patients. The ACT is an essential role to our clinic to provide increased continuity of care to a unique population of patients. The individual will work very closely with the supervising physicians as well as the residents. The ACT plays an integral role in the teaching and development of the resident physicians. They will learn advanced skills and expand upon their medical knowledge to provide exceptional patient care in tandem with the providers they work with. Our patients come from all backgrounds, and each have their own unique and often complex care needs. We serve the underserved and are proud to provide this service to our community.
This team member will serve in a clinical and clerical role. The team members deliver quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider; they also provide clerical support in complex matters to assist in the delivery of value-driven health care services. Tasks would include patient rooming, collecting and reporting vitals, other health information, stocking, cleaning, documentation as well as administrative functions including patient check-in/out, scheduling appointments, insurance authorization and other duties.
