Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Clinic Manager for the Internal Medicine ambulatory departments at the Durham Outpatient Center & Midtown Clinics. The role oversees operations, staffing, and budget to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include directing staff, ensuring strong physician relationships, and promoting a collaborative, patient-centered culture across weekday hours with occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years clinical and/or business operations experience.
• 4 years leading a group with coaching, performance actions, or senior technical leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; candidates who will complete within 12 months are eligible.
• Flexibility and dedication to a team environment.
• Ability to lead and develop teams.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to anticipate and respond to changes in direction and priorities.
• Well-ordered approach to problem solving.
• Excellent physician relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan and coordinate the operations of an ambulatory patient care department.
• Achieve department and organizational goals within approved operating budget.
• Hire, fire, counseling, and evaluation of department staff.
• Initiate and maintain effective communication to promote positive department relations.
• Afterhours work may be necessary to address urgent/emergent issues.
