Job summary

ProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum and UnitedHealth Group family, seeks a Clinical RN Lead to oversee daily clinical operations in a fast-paced internal medicine practice.

You will coordinate scheduling, supervise staff, and ensure delivery of high‑quality patient care while adhering to CLIA/OHS regulations and company policies. This role offers full‑time hours and collaboration with regional nurse managers.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted RN licensure in CT
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a hospital or medical office
• Experience with charge/clinical lead responsibilities
• Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
• BSN (preferred)
• CPR/BLS Certification (preferred)
• Experience working with Epic (preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
• Experience in hospital or medical office (preferred)
• Pediatric experience (preferred)
• Phone triage experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Triage patients; answer and document patient phone calls; route to providers via EHR
• Outreach to patients for appointments, test results, and follow-up
• Educate patients on illness/injury and self-management
• Document patient interactions accurately in the EHR
• Carry out standing orders
• Respond to tasks promptly and manage referrals
• Oversee temperature monitoring and annual CLIA competencies
• Maintain knowledge of coding, OSHA, CLIA regulations and policies
• Create and manage clinical team schedule and assignments
• Lead the team to function in a patient-centered environment
• Assist care team to ensure smooth office operation and service quality
• Oversee daily operations including scheduling, processes, and provider support
• Maintain communication with practice and regional teams
• Participate in interviewing and precepting clinical staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
