USC Care Medical Group seeks an intermediate-level Support Coordinator II to enhance outpatient flow and patient satisfaction within the Ambulatory clinic. You will coordinate multiple appointments across multi-specialty services and support daily clinic prep, phone coverage, intake, and referrals management.

Qualifications

• Req High School or equivalent.
• Req Demonstrated ability in customer service, intake and scheduling.
• Req Proven record of dealing with the public in a customer service role.
• Req Familiarity with word processing, Microsoft Outlook, intranet, online queries; GE Centricity Business, Cerner, PBAR, scheduling systems.
• Req Excellent communication skills in English (read, write, speak).
• Req Flexibility, proactive approach, teamwork.
• Req Knowledge of insurance plans and coverage, including government programs.
• Req Ability to process new referrals promptly.
• Req Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating care.
• Req Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Clerical tasks: accurate data entry, manage referrals, scheduling, and billing documentation.
• Schedule patient evaluations and clinic appointments, including surgeries and labs.
• Provide frontline patient service, inform patients and caregivers, assist with insurance and financial counseling.
• Coordinate with care team and maintain smooth patient flow; handle messages and communications.
• May assist onboarding and training, support quality assurance and reporting.
