Job summary

Ventura County Health Care Agency seeks an Ambulatory Care Administrator to lead the administrative operations of the Ambulatory Care System, overseeing 35 clinics including 19 FQHCs. The role partners with executive leadership to translate priorities into efficient operations and improve care delivery.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, collaborative leader with strong communication and system-wide perspective, balancing program needs with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health, business, finance or accounting required; substitution allows related experience.
• Four (4) years of responsible administrative experience in a clinic or health care setting.
• Two (2) years of professional staff supervisory experience in a clinic setting.
• Master's degree in a health care related discipline, business, or public administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, monitors, and reviews activities and staff of Ambulatory Care departments; includes FQHCs and hospital-licensed clinics.
• Oversees accreditation review, safety, grants, facilities, patient safety, quality assurance, and compliance.
• Supervises department managers in planning, policies, and objectives; implements changes as needed.
• Develops pro forma financial statements for potential new service lines and business lines.
• Assists with budgeting, monitors expenditures, and audits registration and billing data.
