Job summary

UCSF is seeking an Administrative Director to lead infusion services at the Cancer Center across MB, Mt. Zion, Pediatrics and future sites.

The role oversees administrative staff, revenue cycle, HR, and business functions, ensuring strategic initiatives are implemented with independence and diplomacy. Responsibilities include financial oversight, staffing decisions, policy development, quality improvement, and collaboration across departments to meet service standards and patient care goals.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors the financial process for a comprehensive view of clinic performance, revenues, costs, trends and reimbursements.
• Manages clinical, operational, quality and IT functions and staff; allocates resources and ensures policy compliance.
• Develops proposals for facilities expansion, space planning, and staffing needs for practices and programs.
• Oversees recruitment, performance evaluation, and staff development; collaborates with Labor Relations on bargaining issues.
• Develops internal policies, procedures and technology options to mitigate risk in the practice(s).
• Promotes a workplace culture focused on patient service standards and engagement.
• Uses LEAN methods to improve processes and drive operational excellence; presents recommendations to stakeholders.
• Ensures billing, coding and cash handling policies align with internal controls.
• Works with the clinical research team to align operations with research goals.
• Acts as content expert for complex initiatives, including IT, software implementations, and design projects.
• May cover other practices or programs as needed.
