Job summary

The Tohono O’odham Nation Health Care is seeking an experienced nursing leader to manage the ambulatory care department across Sells and affiliated centers. You will supervise nursing staff, develop policies, monitor budgets, and ensure HIPAA and infection control compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating staff orientation, maintaining licensure compliance, and collaborating with the Nurse Executive Team on strategic planning to improve patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in nursing from an approved program.
• Minimum of one year ambulatory care experience in a clinical or urgent care setting.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience.
• Active, unrestricted nursing license in the United States.
• Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid at hire.
• Criminal background and FBI fingerprint check may be required.
• Possession of valid driver’s license may be required.
• Fluency in Tohono O’odham language and English may be required based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ambulatory care department and nursing staff.
• Develop and implement long- and short-term policies for ambulatory and nursing services.
• Monitor budget, staffing levels, and resource allocation to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Privacy Act, Infection Control, and accrediting bodies.
• Plan schedules and operations to meet objectives and standards of care.
• Evaluate operations for patient flow, productivity, and care needs.
• Coordinate staff orientation planning and preceptor availability.
• Ensure licensure compliance for all staff and provide staff development.
• Collaborate with Nurse Executive Team on policy and strategic planning.
