Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an Accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training in lieu of a formal medical assistant program (DD214/EMT).

Aufgaben

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, history, health maintenance, allergies, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture, specimen collection/labeling, and lab tests per CLIA waivers.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles duties such as refills, authorizations, scheduling, and referrals.
• Cross-trained for duties within clinic scope.
• Maintains clear, timely communication and teamwork.
• Keeps work area clean and stocked; ensures equipment is functional.
• Assesses patient data across age groups to meet age-specific needs.
