Job summary

The Staff Pad partners with a healthcare organization in Breckenridge, TX to recruit an experienced Director of Ambulatory Care Services – RN. This full-time role oversees clinical operations, nursing staff, and patient care quality across the ambulatory care department.

A bilingual-friendly environment is preferred, with leadership responsibilities spanning staffing, budgeting, and policy adherence. The position requires an accredited nursing degree, TX RN licensure, and strong leadership

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license with the Texas Board of Nursing.
• BLS/CPR certification within 30 days; ACLS/PALS within 90 days; TNCC within 6 months.
• Electronic Health Record experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing and support staff recruitment, onboarding and performance evaluations.
• Determine staffing needs based on patient acuity and volume.
• Coordinate patient care with nursing units and hospital departments.
• Ensure continuity of care and effective communication across shifts.
• Ensure safety, emergency procedures, and isolation protocols are followed.
• Protect patient rights and act as patient advocate.
• Delegate responsibilities based on staff competency and scope of practice.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget.
