Job summary

Advocate Health in Pineville cardiology unit seeks a registered nurse to provide patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient-family engagement, and safety, with a focus on acute and ambulatory care settings.

The position requires RN licensure, BLS, and 1 year of clinical nursing experience, with BSN preferred. Schedule is M-F, 8am-5pm, with potential unit-wide float as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May be required to float to other units or facilities within the service area.
