Job summary

BMCHS is seeking an Ambulatory Services Representative II in the Cardiovascular Center to support billing and front-end clinic operations. This role handles charge entry, billing edits, reimbursements, and inquiries with insurers, while also assisting with patient registration and scheduling.

The incumbent will maintain accurate MPI, verify coverage, and coordinate pre-approvals, referrals, and appointments, delivering courteous, confidentiality-conscious service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS/GED plus 3+ years relevant experience.
• Bachelors degree or
• Associates plus 1 year relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Handle charge entry, batch controls, and billing edits.
• Support billing and managed care functions, respond to inquiries with carriers, investigate discrepancies.
• Provide administrative support: scheduling, MPI creation/verification, registration demographics, visit management, appointment scheduling.
• Assist with front-end reception, patient interactions, and insurance verification.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
