Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure in Rhode Island or eligible for licensure prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and dispense medications per orders with attention to safety and efficacy.
• Review orders for therapeutic appropriateness considering patient status and comorbidities.
• Provide patient education on medication use and potential side effects.
• Oversee pharmacy technicians and interns; ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance, MAP/SDPMP initiatives, and interdisciplinary care.
• Preserve documentation for purchasing, storage, preparation, and distribution per policies.
