Job summary

Atlantic Emergency Solutions in Hanover, MD is seeking a diesel mechanic to service ambulances and fire trucks. The role involves diagnosing, repairing diesel engines and electrical systems, and performing preventive maintenance in a busy indoor shop.

You will document labor and parts, complete safety inspections, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following OSHA standards. Overtime is available and Fridays off? No rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• D diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and air systems
• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on ambulances
• Accurately documenting repairs, labor time, and parts usage
• Completing safety inspections and ensuring vehicles are ready for service
• Maintaining a clean, safe work area and following OSHA and company safety standards
• Assisting other technicians as needed and working as part of a team

Competitive Pay range: $25.00 - $45.00, depending on experience

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Overtime is available
• No rotating shifts
• Paid holidays (no waiting period)

Work Environment

• Primary work environment is an indoor service and maintenance shop, with occasional field or outdoor work as needed.
• Specialty work on fire trucks and ambulances
