Job summary

Atlantic Emergency Solutions in Greenville, NC is seeking a diesel mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and systems on fire trucks and ambulances. You will perform preventative maintenance, document work, and ensure vehicles are safe and ready for service in a clean, compliant shop.

The role requires experience with heavy-duty or emergency vehicles, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to meet physical demands.

Qualifications

• Diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and air systems.
• Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on fire trucks and ambulances.
• Accurately documenting repairs, labor time, and parts usage.
• Completing safety inspections and ensuring vehicles are ready for service.
• Maintaining a clean, safe work area and following OSHA and company safety standards.
• Assisting other technicians as needed and working as part of a team.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Overtime is available
• No rotating shifts

Work Environment

• Greenville, NC
• Primary work environment is an indoor service and maintenance shop, with occasional field or outdoor work as needed.
