Job summary

Royal Ambulance is seeking a hands-on Fleet Maintenance Technician - Tire & Preventive Maintenance inspections specialist in San Francisco. You will keep our ambulance fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve, with responsibilities spanning tire work, preventive maintenance, and light repairs while traveling between five stations.

The role emphasizes independence, problem solving, and day-to-day variety, ideal for someone with tire and automotive experience who enjoys hands-on work.

Qualifications

1–3 years of automotive or tire service experience.
Experience with tire mounting and balancing equipment.
Clean driving record.
Basic hand tools for tire service and light repairs.
Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking.
Ability to travel between Royal Ambulance stations.

Responsibilities

Perform tire inspections, rotations, mounting, balancing, and replacements.
Complete preventive maintenance inspections and basic oil changes.
Handle light vehicle repairs including doors, windows, seats, mirrors, wipers, dashboards, and cabinets.
Replace interior, exterior, and emergency vehicle lighting.
Perform gurney preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
Adjust or replace antler rails and lock bars.
