Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks an EMT to provide care and transportation in pre-hospital settings. The role covers basic EMT care, safe ambulance operation, and ongoing certification/education to meet state scope of practice.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, Basic EMT certification, a valid driver’s license, and BLS. EVOC is required within 3 months of hire, with 1 year of incident-free driving preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR/AED required.
• Basic EMT certification in state of practice required.
• 1 year incident-free driving experience required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls and performs patient assessments
• Provides basic airway management
• Provides CPR and use of AED
• Participates/attends required trainings
• Provides proper care, safe and efficient transport
• Maintains reports and records
• Cares for vehicle and equipment
• Maintains confidentiality and actively supports patient/family rights
• Serves as a patient advocate
