Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Prior experience in a call center, 911 dispatch center, or as an EMS provider required.
• Licensure: Virginia EMS certification as EMT-B required; AHA BLS-HCP within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Screen and triage incoming calls to identify emergency vs non-emergency needs.
• Schedule trips and dispatch ground ambulances using dispatch software.
• Determine level of care and mode of transport based on CCPT scope of practice.
• Monitor ambulance response times and update stakeholders on ETA.
• Protect patient privacy and comply with HIPAA during the process.
