Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Amazon Connect Architect for a 12+ months contract in Plano, TX (onsite). You will architect cloud contact center solutions, leverage Terraform IaC, and integrate AWS services with voice tech to deliver scalable enterprise solutions.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years of experience, hands-on coding in Python or Java, and strong CI/CD and monitoring skills (Bitbucket, Git, Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch). Onsite work and comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in relevant IT/telecom roles.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Experience implementing cloud contact center platforms, preferably Amazon Connect.
• Strong IaC expertise with Terraform.
• Ability to architect AWS applications and networking.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Bitbucket, Git).
• Ability to build PoCs and scale to enterprise solutions.
• Knowledge of voice tech and telephony platforms, plus call recording.
• Experience troubleshooting in large environments with Splunk/Datadog/CloudWatch.
• GenAI/LLM use for agent assist, knowledge retrieval, with responsible AI practices.

Pay Rate- $65- $70/hr. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Exp: 12+ Yrs
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java)
• Experience implementing cloud contact center platforms, preferably Amazon Connect
• Strong expertise with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Ability to architect and implement AWS applications and networking
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jules) and version control (Bitbucket, Git)
• Ability to rapidly build proof-of-concepts and scale them into enterprise solutions
• Advanced knowledge of application and infrastructure architecture principles
• Knowledge of voice technologies (e.g., WebRTC), call recording, and telephony platforms (plus)
• Experience troubleshooting, monitoring, and production support in large environments using tools such as Splunk, Datadog, and CloudWatch
• Experience building and supporting enterprise solutions on AWS
• Strong understanding of contact center operations (required)
• AI skills: conversational AI + speech analytics integrations; GenAI/LLM use for agent assist/summarization/knowledge retrieval, with responsible AI practices (PII, controls, guardrails).
