Job summary

Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living in Duluth, MN is seeking a Part-Time Medication Technician (TMA) to administer medications and assist residents during day shifts (6:00am–2:00pm) with rotating weekends. The pay range is $18.00–$20.00 per hour, with placement based on experience and licensure.

Responsibilities include measuring and recording vital signs, restocking inventories, following a written care plan, and reporting changes to the supervisor.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to the facility’s medication policy
• Record and restock medication inventories, and process discontinued medication as directed by DON
• Measure and record vital signs including pulse, temperature, and blood pressure.
• Observe resident behavior and report any changes in condition or behavior to supervisor.
• Complete necessary forms, charts, reports, etc. in a descriptive manner, and submit them as necessary
• Report errors in the administration of medications
• Review and follow a written care plan.
• Assist with caring for residents when needed
• Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

• Completion of a standardized medication administration training program for unlicensed personnel in nursing homes through a Minnesota postsecondary educational institution.
• Current certification and listing on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

All applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible for consideration.Exception: Individuals under the age of 18 may be considered only if they possess a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license, in accordance with applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a TMA is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Schedule: 6:00am-2:00pm, rotating weekends
