Job summary

Pexco is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment and facility systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes preventing downtime, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and reading blueprints and schematics.

The candidate should have an associate degree or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of hands-on maintenance work. Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently or with a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance, or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic devices.
• Familiarity with plastic extrusion equipment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repair: Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related system issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Utilize hand and power tools, meters, and other diagnostic equipment in maintenance activities.
• Operational Support: Respond to breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimize disruption to production.
• Perform light machining and fabrication duties as needed.
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts to access equipment and complete repairs safely.
• Maintain communication with the production team to report status updates and coordinate support.
