Job summary

Four Seasons Resorts Orlando is seeking an AM Ravello Host (On-Call) to support our breakfast outlet and Italian restaurant, Ravello.

You will maintain a welcoming reception, greet guests, and manage reservations with OpenTable. The role requires excellent English, strong hospitality poise, and the ability to work weekends and mornings.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Food & Beverage is required.
• At least 1 year in upscale, fine dining is preferred.
• Experience with OpenTable is preferred.
• Outgoing, friendly personality with professionalism.
• Willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers.
• Fluent in English and legal US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the reception area and entrance, including stocking and cleanliness.
• Greet guests in a warm, welcoming manner and confirm reservations.
• Ensure safety and order within the restaurant/bar area.
• Collect guest information to enter into the Micros system.
• Inform guests about Ravello events or resort activities.
• Keep guests updated on table status and delays to manage expectations.
• Coordinate with Ravello managers and other hosts/hostesses on reservations, delays, and cancellations.
• Remember regular guests and communicate satisfaction updates to managers.

The Opportunity

AM Ravello Host (On-Call)

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who can provide dining support in our on-site, breakfast outlet and modern Italian cuisine specialty restaurant, Ravello.

What you will do

• Maintaining the reception area and entrance in all aspects of stocking and cleanliness


• Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome


• Maintain the safety and security of the restaurant/bar premises


• Identify guests’ preferences and their personal information: regularity and time of dining, food and drink choice, seat preference, food allergies, special occasion, hotel guests, table position, telephone number, e-mail address, web address, etc.


• Inform our guests about any upcoming events at Ravello or the resort


• Ensure that guests are informed regularly about their table status if there is a delay


• Communicate with Ravello managers and other hosts/hostesses continuously and update them on the dynamics of the reservations, delays and cancellations in order to avoid unnecessary table chasing or rigid return time policy


• Recognize guests, remember the names of the regulars and be in constant communication with managers and reception about the satisfaction of our guests


• Accommodate if guests have any special requests or allergies, etc.


• Greet the guests and learn if they have a reservation, are walk-ins or bar guests, collect guest information to enter into the Micros system


• Relate all information given to you by the guest to the Manager on Duty

What you bring

• Prior experience working in Food & Beverage


• One year of experience in an upscale, fine dining establishment preferred


• One year of OpenTable experience preferred


• Must portray an outgoing personality that is warm and friendly while demonstrating enthusiasm and professionalism


• A sincere willingness to provide service to residents, guests, and peers.


• Good organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.


• Ability to function well under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions.


• High work ethic, with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team.


• Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.

Schedules and Hours:

• Must be available Thursday and Saturday morning, additional Tuesday availability a plus.


• A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays.
