Job summary

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World is seeking a Groundskeeper II to support all golf course maintenance operations at our Central Florida luxury resort. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and a proactive approach to course care and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates will have turf management experience on golf courses, be fluent in English, and able to operate safety-conscious equipment, with physical endurance for daily outdoor work and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in turf management on golf courses.
• Must be fluent in English and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Experience operating golf course equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Handle preventative maintenance of equipment and logs.
• Operate equipment at a high level after training.
• Follow safety procedures in all tasks.
• Learn new tasks and operate different equipment as required.
• Communicate with Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent/Technicians as needed.
• Place tees and traffic stakes properly at all times.
• Clean the golf operations facility daily.
• Willing to participate in resort events and flexible scheduling.

The Opportunity

Groundskeeper II

About The Role

The Groundskeeper II position covers all operations of the groundskeeper position with an expanded role concentrating on task knowledge, equipment operation, and communication. This position requires a positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work with the team as well as work alone, and willingness to want and learn all aspects of golf maintenance. They should have experience as a laborer with an appropriate and developing grasp of course conditioning requirements.

What You Will Do

• Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.


• Expected to operate all equipment at a high level once trained.


• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance


• Ability / Willingness to learn new tasks and operate different types of equipment as required.


• Ability to communicate with Superintendent / Assistant Superintendent / Equipment Technicians when any needs may arise.


• Make sure all tees and traffic stakes are properly placed at all times.


• Vehicle operation and care from cleaning to filling w/fuel.


• Raking bunkers, rotary push mower, backpack blower and weed eating.


• Divot repair, laying sod and planting seed, mowing greens and repair of ball marks on greens.


• Proper safety procedures.


• Edging sprinkler heads and valves, to fly-mowing bunkers, to edging cart paths, drains and cleaning yardage plates.


• General set-up duties. (Change hole placement, move tee markers).


• Practice Safety Standards at all times.


• Cleaning the golf operations facility every afternoon.


• Cleaning Equipment.


• Make sure all trash is picked up throughout the course everyday


• Willing Participant in resort work events


• Ability to have flexible schedules when needed.

What You Bring

• Experience and knowledge of turf management practices as related to golf courses.


• Must be fluent in English and possess legal work authorization in the United States.


• Experience with golf course equipment usage and safety.


• Need to have at least two years of experience.


• Ability to lift 80 lbs.


• Work well with others and interact with guests and members on a limited basis.


• Able to work in a wide range of environmental and physical conditions.


• Adapt at listening to instructions and following directions from supervisors.
