Job summary

The Founders Inn & Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is seeking an AM Line Cook to join our culinary team in Virginia Beach. You will prepare breakfast, hot and cold items, and support daily kitchen operations with attention to detail and food safety.

Ideal candidates have a positive attitude, team orientation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high culinary standards. This role offers weekly pay and Hilton hospitality benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional kitchen experience preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and food safety practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold menu items for daily service.
• Wash, chop, portion, and prepare ingredients for service.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines.
• Monitor food quality, flavor, temperature, texture, and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout each shift.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures.
• Assist with inventory rotation and station readiness for shifts.
• Communicate effectively with chefs, supervisors, and teammates.
• Report equipment concerns, quality issues, and safety hazards promptly.
• Maintain professional grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility to assist other stations as needed.
