Job Responsibilities
- Perform opening and closing procedures per checklists.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures, including use-by dates, temperature controls, etc.
- Wash, peel, slice, portion, chop, mix, and store ingredients.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards.
- Portion and arrange food on serving dishes.
- Develop feature offerings for each service period.
- Monitor food quantity and quality to minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean work area at all times.
- Be fully knowledgeable of all menu items and features, including garnishes and preparation methods, and answer questions from servers or guests.
- Assist in same-day or advance prep for all kitchen stations.
- Check fixtures, equipment, and conditions for proper operation and report deficiencies.
Job Requirements
We seek a self-motivated Line Cook with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a drive to exceed expectations.
- 1 to 3 years of related experience in food preparation.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
