Job summary

The Harpeth Hotel in historic downtown Franklin is seeking AM Food Runners to join our team. You will deliver food to guests in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner, and act as liaison between front of house staff and back of house staff to ensure smooth food delivery. AM shifts only, 7am-3pm.

Full-time, 5 days a week, with schedule flexibility to help with school hours, family needs, additional jobs, and more. From $17-20 an hour. Free daily shift meals and beverages.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Three - Six months experience in a food/beverage services environment.
• Must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer printouts, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions.
• Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.
• Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tables are cleaned and set in a timely manner to effectively serve our guests, maintaining table settings by removing finished courses and clearing dishes.
• Complete all restocking and cleaning duties as instructed.
• Memorize menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant, wait-station, and kitchen service areas.
• Respond to customer inquiries and comments with timely and knowledgeable information.
