Job summary

TruCare Community in Long Beach, CA is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Caregiver to assist residents at Villa Redondo Care. You will provide basic daily support, take medications under supervision, and help with mobility and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers part-time shifts, a $500 sign-on bonus, and a benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time staff and opportunities for growth. Walk-in applications are welcomed at the HR office.

Qualifications

• Must pass DOJ FBI live scan background clearance.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and TB test.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Caregiving and medical administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic needs of residents in a RCFE.
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Administer medications in accordance with Title 22 regulations.
• Order and reorder medications per physician instructions.
• Monitor medication administration records and report errors.
• Document and communicate with physicians and medical staff.
• Schedule resident doctor appointments.
• Promote resident engagement and independence while maintaining safety.
• Maintain composure during emergencies and ensure a safe environment.

Job Description:

• Assist with the basic needs of a RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly).
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Administer medication to residents in accordance to Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code.
• Order and reorder medication for residents, following explicit physician instructions.
• Monitor resident’s medication administration records and report any errors to the Lead Medication Technician and/or Administrator.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician and /or medical professional.
• Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
• Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing of pain while promoting engagement and independence.
• Maintains good composure during emergencies.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
