Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe is seeking an AM Bakery Driver Supervisor to ensure timely delivery of fresh products to our cafés, manage a team of seven drivers, and uphold safety and quality standards across the bakery logistics network.

The role emphasizes reliability, organization, and teamwork, with early mornings, weekend and holiday work as needed, competitive hourly pay, strong benefits, and opportunities for growth within a vibrant Boston-based bakery family.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent verifiable driving experience.
• Experience supervising teams of at least 7 drivers.
• Clean driving record.
• Experience creating schedules and monitoring route efficiencies.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to speak English required; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver bakery products and supplies to cafés.
• Receive, verify, and organize incoming deliveries.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and maintain proper FIFO rotation.
• Track waste and elevate inventory concerns.
• Maintain clean, organized, and food safe storage areas.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and Department of Health standards.
• Support daily operational assignments from the Bakery Logistics Manager.
• Identify and communicate operational issues proactively.
• Work safely, efficiently, and collaboratively as part of the bakery team.
• Supervise and support a team of 7 drivers.

Key Responsibilities

As an AM Bakery Driver Supervisor at Tatte, you will support both bakery logistics and café operations by ensuring products move safely, accurately, and efficiently throughout our system.

Scope Of Responsibilities

• Load and deliver bakery products and supplies to cafés

Vehicle Information

• Operate 22 ft refrigerated straight trucks
• Operate automatic transmission vehicles with lift gates
• Maintain a valid Class D driver’s license
• Obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card

Essential Functions / Working Conditions

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to work in fast paced operational environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
