Job summary

Fort Worth Country Day School, Inc. is seeking an Alumni Relations Coordinator to design and implement community-building, fundraising and communication strategies for the FWCD Alumni Association.

You will plan and organize alumni events, support mentoring programs, and enhance alumni engagement through communications and volunteer opportunities. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, you will collaborate with multiple teams, manage several priorities, and ensure confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in special events, development, fundraising, and/or volunteer management.
• Experience coordinating alumni programs and events is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize alumni events (Homecoming, reunions, alumni gatherings, etc.).
• Support the Class Agents program and student-alumni mentoring initiatives.
• Collaborate with Upper School administration on alumni-related activities.
• Assist with alumni communications including newsletters, social media, and alumni notes.
• Develop and maintain a network of contacts to boost alumni involvement and fundraising.
• Support Alumni Council activities and sub-committees.

Job description

The Alumni Relations Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Advancement, is responsible for the design and implementation of strategies to meet the community-building, fundraising and communication goals of the FWCD Alumni Association.

Principal Responsibilities –

in coordination with other FWCD Alumni Relation Coordinators:

• Plan and organize alumni events, which include but are not limited to: Homecoming, Class Reunions, Falcons on the Road, Alumni Athletic Games, young alumni events, alumni college campus visits and events to welcome new graduates to the Alumni Association.
• Support the Class Agents program
• Work with the alumni/student mentoring program and Upper School administration
• Assist with the Student Alumni Ambassador program
• Assist with alumni communications that include but are not limited to electronic push pages, social media, alumni class notes and alumni profiles
• Establish, analyze and maintain a network of key contacts to aid in development and efforts to strengthen alumni involvement.
• Create new and expanded opportunities for alumni involvement that will foster positive alumni relations.
• Work with Annual Giving Manager to increase alumni giving through the use of volunteer leadership, reunion giving, individual cultivation and prospect management.
• Support the Alumni Council members
• Staff Alumni Council sub-committees
• Other assignments as indicated by the Director of Advancement.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in special events, development, fundraising, and/or volunteer management required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and teams.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and remain self-motivated in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
• Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, as well as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of special events, development, fundraising, and/or volunteer management practices.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs.
• Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
