Qualifications

• Must be a full-time, upper-level undergraduate student.
• Must demonstrate strong professional and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of public relations practices and procedures is preferred.
• Must be proficient in computer applications.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
• Must not be graduating in December.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• The Student Assistant will support the overall strategic vision and goals of the Alumni Relations Office.
• Responsibilities may include creating and updating content for webpages and social media platforms, as directed.
• Security Sensitive: This position is classified as Security-Sensitive and is thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094, which authorize employers to obtain and review criminal history record information for applicants.
