Job summary

Penn State Alumni Association is seeking an Associate Director of Alumni Events in a hybrid role at the Penn State Alumni Center. You will lead alumni events, manage a team of event staff, and coordinate with internal partners to deliver impactful programs.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills, with occasional evenings, weekends, and travel. A Bachelor's degree and 6–8+ years of relevant experience are expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain alumni events for in-person and virtual experiences.
• Lead the Event Coordinators coordinating activities at the Hintz Family Alumni Center.
• Negotiate and process contracts for venues, caterers, hotels, etc.
• Create and analyze program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with colleagues and manage constituent management activities including direct mail and e-communications.
• Coordinate attendee reservations and generate data reports to analyze event success.
• Supervise staff including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and development.
