Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking an Associate Director of Alumni Events to lead in-person and virtual alumni experiences within the Alumni Events & Travel team. You will supervise Event Coordinators and coordinate events ranging from reunions and Homecoming to networking and recognition programs, ensuring high-quality execution and outcomes.

Responsibilities include contract negotiation, event budgeting, and collaboration with volunteers, committees, and university staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience; or 6+ years for Senior Professional.
• CMP/CMM/CSEP certifications encouraged or in process of certification.
• Experience leading full-time staff and event teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Event Coordinators for in-person and virtual events.
• Negotiate contracts with venues, caterers, hotels, etc.
• Coordinate reunions, Homecoming, alumni networking events, and recognition events.
• Develop and analyze programs and attendee data; recommend improvements.
• Prepare reports and manage volunteers and staff; support staff hiring and onboarding.
