Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence invites applications for an Events & Engagement Specialist to grow our alumni network and deliver impactful programs. You will manage event logistics, speaker coordination, and promotional activities for CAI’s community across Madison and the nation.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of event experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to travel and work evenings when required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience planning and executing events.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or events simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and travel, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a unit liaison for internal and external stakeholders within established programs.
  • Plans and leads major alumni events, volunteer committees, and activities aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Monitors and updates donor records and implements policies and procedures.
  • Plans, directs, and executes alumni visits, sharing leads with major gift officers to cultivate donor relationships.
