Job summary

The Cato Institute seeks an Educational Programs Alumni Specialist to advance alumni engagement across its educational initiatives in a hybrid Washington, DC role. You will lead communications, manage data, and develop engaging opportunities that connect students, alumni, and program participants with Cato’s mission.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of relevant experience, strong organization and relationship-building skills, and comfort with CRM systems like Salesforce.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years in educational programs, alumni relations, or related fields.
• Interest in libertarian ideas aligned with the institute's mission.
• Experience coordinating events, programs, communications, or stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support alumni engagement initiatives for educational programs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support programming and relations.
• Plan and coordinate alumni events, including in-person and virtual formats.
• Maintain alumni records and databases for accurate engagement tracking.
• Track metrics, report analytics, and support program evaluation.
• Create alumni communications and outreach materials.
• Build relationships with alumni and cultivate future talent pipelines.
• Provide administrative and operational support for programs.
