Job summary

Loyola University New Orleans is seeking a Director of Alumni Engagement to oversee and coordinate alumni programs, events, volunteer activities, and engagement initiatives. You will lead Commencement planning, partner with the Advancement team on campaigns, and manage budgets and staff to strengthen ties with Loyola and its alumni network.

The role requires strong leadership, superb communication, and a deep commitment to the Ignatian mission, with frequent travel and evening/weekend work as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Seven years of professional experience in alumni or volunteer management, university relations, fundraising, or related field.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to plan sequential and concurrent programs.
• Expertise in event planning and budget management.
• Experience supervising exempt and non-exempt professionals.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends.
• Understanding of the Ignatian mission

Responsibilities

• Lead Commencement planning and execution.
• Supervise staff in Alumni Engagement and coordinate programs.
• Partner with VP of University Advancement on fundraising and engagement campaigns.
• Forecast and manage office expenditures and budgets.
• Represent the university on committees and at events locally, nationally, internationally.
• Coordinate alumni engagement with Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.
• Oversee Alumni Association boards and volunteer structures.
• Identify, recruit and train volunteers.
