Job summary

Second Baptist School seeks an Alumni Relations Coordinator to manage alumni programs, plan events, and strengthen lifelong relationships with graduates and families. The role sits within the Advancement team and supports strategic goals aligned with the school’s mission.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, event planning experience, and a passion for community engagement within a Christ-centered educational environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with alumni, staff, volunteers and students.
• Knowledge and understanding of event planning and execution for large and small events.
• Ability to organize resources, set priorities and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Alumni Engagement: Manage the alumni experience and engage with alumni, staff, volunteers and students.
• Plan and execute activities and events to increase engagement and lifelong relationships with current and future alumni.
• Establish and meet measurable goals to grow alumni presence on campus and SBS networks.
• Serve as a liaison to alumni to keep them connected to each other and SBS through correspondence, social media, emails, cultivation and events.
• Develop a coordinated strategy for alumni communication, outreach and stewardship. Set measurable goals to increase engagement.
• Maintain and manage SBS alumni social media accounts.
• Provide content and update information for the alumni section of the school website.
• Collect alumni notes by class year and write longer features about alumni for the Eagle magazine.
• Send care packages to most recently graduated class before finals.
• Select, design, order and promote merchandise items for giveaways and gifts.
• Develop a two-year plan with measurable goals to update and maintain accurate data.
• Assist with the execution of the senior class graduation portrait and with awards.
