Job summary

Princeton University is seeking a Coordinator in Alumni Engagement to support the Affinity Programs team, major alumni events, and the Princeton Prize in Race Relations. You will work closely with senior staff to plan, implement, and support programs that connect alumni with the University and each other.

The role emphasizes logistics, communications, budgeting, and data management across affinity groups, conferences, and regional committees. Strong collaboration and travel are involved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3+ years relevant work experience.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal/customer service skills.
  • Exceptional organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to plan ahead while remaining flexible and adaptable.
  • Experience managing budgets and tracking expenses.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential material.
  • Ability to work occasional nights/weekends and travel.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Zoom.

Responsibilities

  • Support affinity groups with events, programs and communications; respond to inquiries and advise on policies.
  • Manage logistics for special events, focus groups and meetings.
  • Prepare materials, communications, meetings, surveys, and election support for affinity groups.
  • Research, analyze, and track affinity groups data to inform engagement efforts.
  • Lead or assist with officer elections and database management.
