New Paradigm for Education (NPFE) seeks an Alumni Success Advisor to support Detroit Edison Public School Academy (DEPSA) graduates as they navigate college and pursue postsecondary credentials. You will build meaningful relationships, track progress, and guide alumni through academic and financial barriers to persistence.

This role emphasizes proactive outreach, caseload management, and collaboration with college resources to ensure successful transitions from high school to higher education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preference for education, counseling, social work, higher education, or related field.
• Experience working with high school or college students.
• Experience in college advising, college access, student success, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of college admissions, financial aid, and college student support systems.
• Experience with first-generation and/or low-income students.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a caseload of DEPSA alumni and provide individualized support throughout their college experience.
• Build and maintain relationships with alumni through regular communication, check-ins, meetings, and campus or virtual engagement.
• Support alumni in developing skills to navigate college independently.
• Monitor academic progress, enrollment status, and progress toward degree completion.
• Identify at-risk alumni and develop individualized support plans.
• Help alumni address academic, financial, social, and personal barriers to persistence.
• Connect alumni with campus resources (advising, tutoring, counseling, career services, financial aid, etc.).
• Assist alumni in communicating with faculty, staff, and administrators when challenges arise.
• Help alumni understand policies, deadlines, and requirements.
• Encourage alumni to advocate for themselves and seek support.
