Job Summary

CU Boulder encourages applications for a Temporary Alumni C ClubIntern! This role supports the programs, events, communications,data management, and relationship-building efforts of the Alumni CClub, Colorado Athletics' Letterwinners association.

The Alumni C Club serves former University of Coloradostudent-athletes and preserves the Pride & Tradition ofColorado Athletics by keeping generations of Buffs connected totheir teams, one another, and the University. This positionfrequently interacts with former student-athletes, coaches,administrators, donors, campus partners, and guests. Integrity,hospitality, accuracy, discretion, and strong relationship-buildingskills are crucial.

Working closely with the Executive Director, this position supportsa robust calendar of alumni engagement and recognition programs,including the Colorado Athletics Hall of Fame, Hall of Honor,Legacy Wing, Living Legends, team reunions, Ski Ball, Alumni C Clubpregame tailgates, Buffs Bash, postseason and bowl events, andother special programs.

The coordinator also supports alumni research, historical rosterdevelopment, database management, event registration, digitalengagement, and direct communication with Letterwinners.

The position supports the philosophy and objectives of ColoradoAthletics and must adhere to University and Athletic Departmentpolicies and procedures, conference requirements, and NCAA rulesand regulations.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Alumni Programs & Special Events
  • Work with the Executive Director to plan, produce, andimplement Alumni C Club programs and special events.
  • Support event registration, guest communication, preparation,logistics, on-site hospitality, check-in, and follow-up.
  • Assist with recognition and engagement programs including theHall of Fame, Hall of Honor, Legacy Wing, Living Legends, teamreunions, Ski Ball, Alumni C Club tailgates, Buffs Bash, andpostseason events.
  • Provide outstanding hospitality to former student-athletes andtheir families while helping welcome Letterwinners home to CUBoulder.
Letter winner Engagement & Data Management
  • Help maintain connections between former student-athletes andtheir Colorado Athletics programs through reunions, recognitionopportunities, special events, and direct outreach.
  • Collaborate with coaches, sport administrators, Athleticsstaff, and alumni.
  • Research historical rosters and alumni records to rebuild andstrengthen team contact lists.
  • Maintain and update former student-athlete records withaccuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate relevant record updates with the CU Athletics TicketOffice and other Athletics partners.
  • Assist with registration tracking, contact research, datareconciliation, reporting, and list development.
Digital Engagement
  • Assist with management of the Alumni C Club's Athlete Networkplatform.
  • Create and publish event information, announcements, andengagement content.
  • Supervise participation and prepare reports as requested.
Administrative & Program Support
  • Provide administrative and project support to the ExecutiveDirector.
  • Assist with special projects and evolving Alumni C Clubpriorities.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned in support of the Alumni CClub and Colorado Athletics.
What You Should Know
  • This is a temporary, part-time position, working about 25 hoursper week Monday through Friday, with required football game daysand events as needed. Hours will flex based on event schedule.
  • This position will work evenings and weekends.
  • This position is working in-person.
What We Can Offer

$18.90/Hour.

What We Require
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, sportsmanagement, business, or a related field, or an equivalentcombination of education and relevant experience.
What You Will Need
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, includingsignificant proofreading and attention to detail.
  • Phenomenal organizational skills with the ability to managemultiple projects, priorities, and set timelines.
  • A professional, positive, and service oriented approach whenworking with former student-athletes, coaches, staff, donors, andguests.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills withthe ability to create a welcoming environment for Alumni C Clubmembers.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, solve problems,and follow projects through completion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ease working withdatabases, spreadsheets, registration systems, and digitalplatforms.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and handle alumni andevent information with tact and discretion.
  • Resourcefulness when researching incomplete records or locatingdifficult-to-find alumni information.
  • Willingness to assist with hands-on event production andexecution.
What We Would Like You to Have
  • Experience in alumni relations, athletics, hospitality, eventmanagement, membership organizations, or a relatedenvironment.
  • Experience planning and completing events.
  • Experience working with databases, constituent records, orcustomer relationship management systems.
  • Experience creating digital communications or social mediacontent.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar creativetools.
  • Experience with or connection to the University of Colorado orcollegiate athletics.
