Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an Aluminum Extrusion Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations, analyze process data, troubleshoot defects, and partner with die design teams to boost yield and reduce scrap. The role involves setting billet temperatures, quench rates, and leading trials for new products while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in aluminum extrusion processing.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience with process optimization, QA, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and optimize aluminum extrusion processes to improve productivity and yield.
• Analyze process data and implement improvements to reduce scrap, downtime and defects.
• Troubleshoot extrusion-related issues including surface defects and dimensional inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with die design teams to improve tooling efficiency and product quality.
• Establish and maintain process parameters for billets, temperatures, press speeds, and quenching.
• Support new product development with feasibility studies and trial runs.
• Train production personnel on process changes and best practices.
• Maintain document control related to duties and procedures.
• Utilize measurement tools for data gathering and analysis.
• Prepare and maintain reports as requested.
