Job summary

Penn Aluminum International LLC is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize processes for a new aluminum extrusion facility. You will lead equipment installation, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and cross-functional collaboration to drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvements.

The role requires 2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, Lean knowledge, and PLC/CAD proficiency. Strong project management and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; equivalent combo may be considered.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with capital projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Lean/continuous improvement knowledge and tools required.
• This position does not sponsor visas.
• Proficiency with CAD and MS Office.
• Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley/Siemens/Mitsubishi or similar).

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost.
• Develop and implement Lean and CI improvements.
• Establish standards, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Troubleshoot process, equipment, and quality issues.
• Lead equipment installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Coordinate FAT and SAT for new equipment.
• Develop equipment specs and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and contractors.
• Identify hazards and implement controls.
• Ensure safety standards compliance.
• Create and update process docs, flow diagrams, and specs.
• Train staff on new equipment and processes.
• Maintain engineering records and documentation.
